Cheyenne Hendrickson is a multisensory artist who uses video, sound, and installation to explore the human body, to create experiences that question the awareness of what is inside us and how our insides communicate with the world around. By manipulating space, sound, and texture, her goal is to bring attention to the fleshy figures we live in and prompt a connection to our bodily sensations. Her art delves into how the body engages with its surroundings, encouraging viewers to contemplate their physical body experience in temporal and spatial spaces. Coming from her own experience of understanding what it is to have a temporal body, through interactive tactile sculptures, multichannel soundscapes, and video projections, she is asking how you feel in your own body? She grew up in the Pacific Northwest where she graduated with a BA in Media Art and Film Theory at The Evergreen State College. She is currently based In Atlanta, GA completing her MFA in Photography at Georgia State University.
